Windage in an automotive engine describes the flow of air within the crankcase and the drag that it can cause on the crank. Windage can affect an engine in a few different ways. When unchecked, it can cause oil pressure and oil temperature problems in addition to power loss.
 
To help improve oil control in the GM LS series engines, Aeroflow has developed this louvered windage tray that is suitable for both front or rear sump pans, whether they be standard or aftermarket. This windage tray effectively provides a physical barrier between the crankshaft and its supply of oil, reducing excessive air movement and allowing smoother, calmer oil supply. Have this windage tray installed into your LS series engine and keep oil pressure and temperatures in check while regaining lost power!
